Artist in Residence
Making and creating alongside renowned artists
Through the Artist in Residence Program, artists are integrated into the school community for an extended period, practicing their art form in a direct teaching and learning relationship with students and staff.
The Artist in Residence Program enhances the curriculum from Senior Kindergarten to Grade 12. Performances and collaborative projects provide students with a greater understanding of Cambodia's intangible cultural heritage through the medium of art.
In collaboration with each artist, students begin with an inquiry into the specific art form, exploring both theory and practice. Students become actively involved and create art themselves. In this way, the Artist in Residence program creates a quintessential experiential learning environment.
Muralists, musicians, dancers, singers, animators, designers, puppet masters, ceramicists, performers and actors have been in residence to date. Their presence has elevated the arts in our community.
