Community

CIS has a vibrant school community! 

[Students, parents and caregivers, staff and local community organizations... ] 

Communication within our school community is essential. We actively seek out feedback through annual assurance surveys. Parents and caregivers are invited to share suggestions at School Council meetings. All feedback contributes to school improvement.

Parent and caregiver involvement in the life of the school can benefit students and their learning. We invite all families to attend school events and their children's celebrations of learning. Families new to CIS receive an orientation.

CIS has established external partnerships with the CIS Roller Dome and the CIS Ice Dome to enrich learning opportunities. Students collaborate with other local organizations, such as Animal Rescue Cambodia and Local4Local, as part of their inquiry-based projects. CIS families are invited to use specific school facilities before and after school, including our fitness centre, playgrounds and swimming pool. Each year, a number of CIS students and staff participate in the Siem Reap Marathon. Community linkages contribute to enhanced student learning, well-being and local citizenship.
