Community
Inspiring community and building connections
At CIS, we believe that a strong community is built on mutual respect, shared values and active collaboration, fostering a sense of belonging and collective growth for all its members including students, parents, staff and alumni.
We recognize that families have a very important role to play in supporting student learning, and we are committed to developing effective parent-school partnerships. From the moment a new family joins CIS, they will be welcomed at a New Family Orientation. Events such as curriculum nights, parent information system, meet-the-teacher events, parent-teacher conferences and learning celebrations provide parents opportunities to learn more about their child’s education. School Council meetings are a nice opportunity to stay apprised of new initiatives, share feedback and to meet other parents.
An array of cultural events, sports tournaments, fine arts showcases, assemblies and family days are well-attended by the CIS community. Community events encourage us to come together to foster relationships and celebrate student achievements.
Our community extends beyond our campus. We partner with organizations such as the CIS Roller Dome and Ice Dome Cambodia. CIS families and staff enjoy these recreational meeting places. We host camps for children across Phnom Penh during school breaks. Many students and staff travel to Siem Reap for the Angkor Wat Marathon each year. These shared experiences bring people together and create lasting connections.
CIS welcomes you to become a part of our school community!
